McIlroy and fate

McIlroy and fate

The 2015 golf season will be very important to a lot of players out there. Tiger Woods is trying to make a comeback, Charley Hull is trying to win a major – and probably will, Sang-Moon Bae will try to play a complete season and Rory McIlroy will try to win a Masters.

Rory McIlroy is 25, young, strong, enthusiastic and currently world number one. This year he will try to accomplish one of the feats that have escaped him so far: a career Grand Slam. McIlroy already has to his name 2 PGA Championships, a US open so all he needs is to be victorious at the Masters, this way completing the set of majors.

He would be the 6th player to do this after Ben Hogan, Gene Sarazen, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tiger Woods.

McIlroy finished eight last year at Augusta and that kept him from getting the much desired green jacket so, naturally, now when he talks about it he says he gets goose bumps. This will not be as simple as concentrating on the game alone seeing how 2015 might come with some personal troubles for McIlroy.

Mcilroy will go to court with Horizon Sport Management in February 2015, in Dublin, fighting over high stakes: around $35 million. Besides the money involved McIlroy will have to put a lot of time in this trial by sitting in the witness stand to testify. During this period of time his private life might spill out and he might have a tougher time concentrating.
